IAB members are appointed for the NUS Academy for Healthy Longevity to provide strategic, real‑world guidance that keeps the Academy’s mission, making health and vitality attainable at any age in alignment with evolving clinical, industry, and population needs. Through their expertise and networks, the IAB members help steer priorities across Clinical Research Excellence and Education and Professional Development, strengthens precision geromedicine education, supports the design and delivery of high‑quality human gerotherapeutic trials, and accelerates translation by bridging research and education into clinical practice.​

University of Paris Descartes

Guido Kroemer is a Professor at the University of Paris Descartes and a prominent leader in French medical research. He serves as the Director of the "Apoptosis, Cancer and Immunity" team at INSERM and oversees the Metabolomics and Cell Biology platforms at the Gustave Roussy Comprehensive Cancer Center. With both an MD from the University of Innsbruck and a PhD in Molecular Biology from the Autonomous University of Madrid, his career includes pivotal roles at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and post-doctoral training at the Collège de France.

Heike Bischoff-Ferrari is a specialist in geriatric medicine and the Chair of Geriatrics and Ageing Research at the University of Zurich. She holds a doctorate in public health from Harvard and has led the largest European biobank and study on healthy longevity since 2012. Her influence extends to global health policy as a member of several WHO Clinical Consortia. Currently, she serves as a Visiting Professor at both Harvard Medical School and the University Paul Sabatier Toulouse, focusing on the implementation of prevention programs like ICOPE in Switzerland.

John Deanfield is a Professor of Cardiology at University College London (UCL) and a consultant cardiologist at Barts Heart Centre. As the Director of the National Institute for Cardiovascular Outcomes Research (NICOR), he oversees the UK’s national cardiovascular databases. Trained at Cambridge and Great Ormond Street, Professor Deanfield has made significant contributions to the field as a former Associate Editor of the European Heart Journal. His research is extensively published in top-tier medical journals, including The Lancet and the New England Journal of Medicine.

Julian Savulescu is an award-winning ethicist, philosopher, and medical doctor who bridge the gap between neuroscience and moral philosophy. Since 2002, he has held the Uehiro Chair in Practical Ethics at the University of Oxford, where he founded the Oxford Uehiro Centre. He also currently serves as the Chen Su Lan Centennial Professor in Medical Ethics and Head of the Centre for Biomedical Ethics at the National University of Singapore. His work is instrumental in securing global funding and scholarships for the advancement of practical ethics.
